This can be really tricky, so it is helpful to practice. Fourth, students are developing different ways to illustrate their top ten ideas. As an extension for the low prep centers, students can also peer edit, which is so helpful in the writing process.
One of the best aspects of the writing centers for January involves how it can be implemented. For instance, this resource is excellent when teachers work with a guided reading group. While focusing on this group, the other students can work on these centers independently. The writing for kinders will follow the same format each time to provide consistency. Thus, students can develop multiple top ten lists and then complete the activities for each list, such as ABC order and writing a sentence. Additionally, there are lists to help students get started. By doing this, students don’t need to interrupt the reading center. Instead, they will have a guide to see examples.
